Advocate of the Year Award
This honor is awarded to an employee of a WBEC-East corporate or government member in good standing who has done the most to promote business opportunities for WBENC-certified WBEs. This individual has provided exceptional support to women business enterprises and demonstrated leadership in the promotion and utilization of WBENC-certified WBEs.
This honor is awarded to a WBE start-up company that has been in business for a minimum of one year, has started their business from scratch, has a 3-5 year plan and an ability to serve corporates/access to funding, and is active and engaged in WBEC-East.
Done Deals Awards
WBEC Council Member
Corporate Done Deals Award will be given to recognize the WBEC national and regional council member having the highest spend with the highest number of WBE firms over the last 12-month fiscal year reporting cycle with WBENC certified women business enterprises that have been certified by WBEC-East.
Women’s Business Enterprise
The Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Done Deals Award recognizes the WBE with the highest spend overthe last 12-month reporting cycle with the highest number of WBENC certified WBEs that have been certified by WBEC-East.
New Leaders Award
This honor is awarded to a NextGen WBE that has been in business for a minimum of one year, is active and engaged in WBEC-East and has new ideas or innovations that differentiate their business from others.
Partner of the Year Award
This honor is awarded to one WBEC Council Member who has been instrumental in the Council’s successful achievement of its annual goals.
Volunteer of The Year Award
The Volunteer of The Year Award (previously the Shining Star Award) acknowledges woman business owners, individuals, companies, or government entities who have been instrumental in the successful development of WBEC-East, and whose voluntary support of and commitment to supplier development initiatives have enhanced business opportunities for certified WBEs.
Trusted Advisor Award
This honor is awarded to a WBE who has taken the initiative for helping and supporting less experienced WBEs. The recipient is someone who has had a positive impact on other WBEs and their businesses and is helping shape other WBE’s into leaders. The honoree must be active and engaged in WBEC-East.
WBE Leadership Award
This honor is awarded to a WBE that is certified by and actively participates in WBEC-East, and whose leadership, mentoring, business acumen, and community service have contributed significantly to the growth and development of WBENC-certified WBEs in her community.
This honor was the highest WBENC Accolade for an Individual Bestowed at 2013 National Conference & Business Fair.
