WBEC-East began in 1995 as a Women’s Business Center supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Since then, we’ve been working with small business owners throughout the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia areas, including Delaware and South Jersey to support women starting and growing their businesses. For the past two decades, we’ve been helping women achieve economic empowerment through entrepreneurship training courses.  While the Center is dedicated to the economic empowerment of women, the services are open to all individuals.

Our entrepreneurial training takes several forms:

In-person business education and training workshops (see specific programs: JumpStart, FastTrac, and Orientation and Business Assessment)
Online business entrepreneur training classes led by qualified instructors in a variety of topics, from software training to management classes. Courses start once a month and run for six weeks. Be sure to check out our online classroom to learn more about the courses we offer.
