Pennsylvania CDFI Network Historically Disadvantaged Business Assistance Program

Apply now through February 23rd, 2024

In partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania CDFI Network is pleased to announce the opening of grant applications for the Historically Disadvantaged Business Assistance (HDBA) Grant Program.

The Historically Disadvantaged Business Assistance Program is a $10.5 million grant program funded by the American Rescue Plan Act financed in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The program intends to mitigate the negative economic impacts of COVID-19 on small businesses.

Are you a local, female-owned Pittsburgh business or do you know one that is deserving? In honor of Women’s History Month in March, the Pittsburgh Penguins and 84 Lumber are joining forces to give back to a female-owned business within our community and provide them with a $25,000 grant to support their business. Nominations will be reviewed by a small panel of members from the Penguins and 84 Lumber, and the top 3 finalists will be announced to the public to vote and determine the grant recipient.

NJ Diverse Business Advisory Council Responds to NJ Disparity Study

Calls for Swift Action to Address Unfair Contract Allocation

The NJ Diverse Business Advisory Council (NJDBAC) is a coalition of leading New Jersey business organizations dedicated to promoting the inclusion and advancement of diverse businesses in the state’s economy. NJDBAC members advocate for fair and equitable access to government contracts, resources, and opportunities for minority, women, LGBTQ+, veteran-owned businesses, and those with disabilities.

Call for Web Quality Assurance and Accessibility Tool

The U.S. Department of Education (ED), Office of Communications and Outreach (OCO), has a need to obtain a Web Quality Assurance and Accessibility Tool.  ED requires a software program or online service that shall support web content quality assurance and improve website user experience by identifying and fixing common errors like broken links, outdated content, and typos.  In addition, the tool shall conduct a web accessibility evaluation to help ED determine if its web content meets accessibility guidelines.
To be considered, quoted products must meet ALL the requirements identified in the guidelines. The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month Base Year and one 12-month Option Year.

The Philadelphia Business Lending Network Incentive Grant

The Philadelphia Business Lending Network simplifies the process of applying for loans. It is a group of nonprofit lenders, for profit lenders, and other funders who work together with the Philadelphia Department of Commerce to improve access to capital for businesses throughout Philadelphia. The Commerce Department has launched a Philadelphia Business Lending Network Incentive Grant to increase access to capital for Philadelphia’s small businesses.  Read more below to apply and find out if you qualify.
