We heard you – more local networking is coming! Join one of our RISE networks to get invitations to local happy hours and coffee meet-ups with fellow WBEC-Easters. Stay connected throughout the year in our private LinkedIn group. And always make sure you bring your “ask.”
Join the Kickoff Discussion!
Wednesday, June 11th
12:00 – 1:00 pm, Virtual
We want to hear from you! During the kickoff session, the chairs of each regional planning group will lead a town hall discussion to help shape the new network. Where should we have our local meet-ups? What time of day is generally better for you? What kind of support do you need, and what conversations would make these networks meaningful?
Join the LinkedIn Group
The group is a private space for the WBEC-East network to share resources, ask for and offer support, and create partnerships in between in-person meet-ups. You are welcome to invite other business leaders in your community to participate. You do not need to be a certified WBE to be a part of the LinkedIn group.

What is RISE?
RISE is our newest initiative to help small business owners create a more personal and local support network. The letters in RISE stand for our mission to:
• Reach WBEC-East’s unique communities
• Inspire productive contracting connections
• Support capital & capacity growth through partnership
• Empower new and future entrepreneurs through mentoring and resource-sharing
What makes RISE different?
We’re all about meaningful connections that have actionable benefits.
We encourage you to always show up with your “ask.”
Your “ask” can be anything that will help you grow your business:
• “I would love an introduction to someone at XYZ Corporation.”
• “I need a recommendation for a small business friendly bank.”
• “I’d like to find a partner in a specific industry to go in on an RFP together.”
Let’s remove the awkwardness that creates barriers to growth, and actively help each other succeed.
Who can get involved?
Anyone in the small business community within WBEC-East’s region of PA, DE and south NJ! You do not need to be a certified WBE to participate.
• Current small business owners and their key employees
• Future entrepreneurs
• Procurement professionals looking to connect with local businesses
• Small business resource partners
The network is open to individuals of all genders, races, religions, abilities, etc.
